I stayed in room 103 which felt like right out of Harry Potter with its unique layout under the stairs. The room was clean but lacked adequate light due to the window placement. The restaurant next door was convenient for meals but service was slow, especially for solo guests. Overall, the stay was comfortable with good room standards and friendly staff.

The hotel is a great value for money with warm and clean rooms providing everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The beds are supportive, shower pressure is good, and amenities like a large TV, kettle, and hairdryer are available. However, the unique 'marmite rooms' like number 103 may not be to everyone's liking due to their unconventional layout. The restaurant service can be slow, but the peaceful location makes it an ideal stopover for exploring Somerset and nearby attractions.

6.6/10
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were quite small for a family room, making it a bit challenging to move around at night or make the beds. The room, numbered 103, felt unique like Harry Potter's room under the stairs, but the lack of light and narrow space made it less comfortable. The restaurant next door offered a good deal on room and breakfast, but the service was slow, leaving me waiting for my meals for extended periods.
Rooms
5.0
The room was cramped and felt like Harry Potter's room under the stairs, with limited light and space to maneuver.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly and welcoming, but I experienced long waiting times for meals.
Location

The location was excellent and very quiet, ideal for a stopover when traveling to Devon or Cornwall, with convenient access to a Whitbread restaurant next door.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs, with long waiting times for meals and limited choices, although the food was enjoyable when finally served.
Facilities

The facilities were basic but functional, and the value for the meal deal was good despite the slow service.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The location was fantastic, great for exploring Devon or Cornwall, but the service at the restaurant was quite slow. The room, though unique, felt a bit cramped with limited lighting, but the hotel had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay.
Rooms
6.0
My room felt like a scene from Harry Potter under the stairs, which was interesting but also a bit cramped and dark due to the positioning of the windows. The cleanliness and standard were moderate.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking in the restaurant, especially for solo diners like myself, with long waiting times for meals. However, the check-in process and bathroom facilities were excellent.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent and quiet, making it an ideal stopover for exploring nearby attractions like Cheddar Gorge. However, there were some signs of standards slipping in terms of maintenance.
Dining
7.0
Despite the good quality of food, the service at the restaurant was slow, particularly on busy evenings. The breakfast options were limited, and the atmosphere could have been improved.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, but attention to maintenance standards could be better.

The hotel rooms were in need of updating, but had good facilities, and my husband's and my rooms were conveniently located next to each other. Initially, the room was very hot upon arrival, but we managed to cool it down by turning off the heating and opening the restricted windows as the fan was not effective. The price was reasonable for the stay.
Rooms

The rooms needed redecorating or updating but had good facilities for my husband and me. They were conveniently next to each other.
Service
7.0
The service, including the newspaper service, was satisfactory.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a fairly quiet location close to places of interest, including Hutton Moor, with free parking available and a Whitbread restaurant adjacent. It was a convenient location for my early morning plans.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing, being the worst ever at this Premier Inn. There was a lack of choice, and items were not refilled promptly. The fish dish was the only highlight.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were average, with no specific positive or negative standout features.
